I had got another loose classic 1997 Mattel Ariel,which was in better condition than the other one i had,but still needed a lot of job...So,I washed,cleaned,combed and detangled her hair,and then I styled her like in the movie and added a big light blue bow...I restyled her tangled fringe with gel and a hairdryer in order to hold it in place.I'm satisfied,because even though she had the darker red hair,they are soft and shiny!I also rebodied her.I used a Fashion Secrets Megara body,which has thin waste,same skintone and pivot legs,so that Ariel could wear the navy blue barbie pumps I seperatly bought for her in order to match the blue bodice,like in the movie.At first I thought that her pumps were black,but after watching the movie carefully I found out they were dark blue.I had bought (loose and used) the 1997 kingdom tour dress by Mattel,and remade it.I removed the tulle over the skirt and made this V thing Ariel has in the middle of her skirt.I kept the blue bodice and remade the sleeves and the whole top from light blue fabric.I tried very hard to make this.It took me a long time-as I don't have a sewing machine and everything I make is handmade- but it's finally ready!I tried to be as movie accurate as I could!Hope you like it!
